Our tour introduces you to a major natural and cultural site of the LauhanvuoriHämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark. The tour will explain the Geopark, the forming of the Kaidatvedet lake system and how it became a major travel route, and how the Parkano Forestry Museum was founded in this area of great natural beauty. The museum’s buildings and exhibits showcase historical development from the 1860s to the 1960s, from the heyday of sawmills to the mechanisation of forestry. You will also be treated to all the health benefits of nature with a short scenic lakeside trek led by a Forest Mind method guide.
